Falling
This photo shows someone being kicked down the stairs. This can be related to horizontal projectiles. The girls is starting at the top of the steps with a velocity if zero, until she is kicked down the stairs by her not so friendly friend. She accelerates at 9.81 m/s/s down the steps. Her displacement is not known, but if it was you could use the equation dx=v0t+1/2at^2. After this, you would use the equation dx=vt to find the velocity.
The picture relates can relate to a the diagram. By using an x/y chart, it is easy to separate numbers from the problem to fin the vertical and horizontal distance traveled. An example of this is shown in the green and red writing to the left.
