From the TV Station to Your Living Room
This is a photo of my TV. Someone who has not learned about waves might as "how would a television have anything to do with waves". Radio waves are sent back and forth from the TV station to my TV to tune into a channel that is playing what I am watching. Radio waves are special because they are electromagnetic waves which fall on the electromagnetic spectrum. Electromagnetic waves do not need a medium to travel in, unlike mechanical waves. Radio waves fall last on the spectrum, seeing as they have a very low frequency and high wave length. The radio waves sent to my television from the TV station, do not need a medium, which is why they come straight to my television and do not change like a light wave might.
