Color
This is a photo of a green slide in my back yard. The slide is illuminated, or in other words it is lit up by another light
Source. We as humans only see the light that enters our eyes. Different objects of different colors absorb and reflect the 3 colors of primary light, Red, Green, and Blue, to make them appear the color that they do. The slide is absorbing red and blue light which is making appear as green. The slide is reflecting green which is also making it appear as green. If an object is white, it is absorbing all of the colors of light and reflecting none. In other words, it is a mixture of all of the colors of light. If an object is back, it will reflect nothing and absorb nothing.
